GRE Requirements for Graduate Admission

Applicants in any of the following categories will be required to submit GRE scores with their application to the College of Engineering’s graduate program:

  • All International Applicants (unless you have earned a degree in the U.S.)
  • All Applicants without a degree from a college/university in the U.S. (even if you are now a permanent resident of or citizen of the U.S.)
  • All PhD Applicants *The GRE is waived for all PhD applicants applying before August 1, 2022.
  • MS in Biochemical Engineering applicants who do not hold a B.S. in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering AND applicants whose B.S. degree is from a non-ABET accredited school
  • MS in Chemical Engineering applicants who do not hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering AND applicants whose B.S. degree is from a non-ABET accredited school
  • MS in Computer Engineering applicants seeking full-time admission with funding (scholarships/assistantships)
  • MS in Electrical Engineering applicants seeking full-time admission with funding (scholarships/assistantships)
  • MS in Mechanical Engineering applicants with an undergraduate degree from a non-ABET accredited school.
