Name: Jonathan Adamski ’12

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I got to participate in everything Villanova Basketball. From Final Four celebrations my freshman year, to College Gameday celebrations my senior year, I loved being a part of the V family. I was also a mascot during my time at Villanova, so I always had an up close, court-side view.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I successfully changed careers from engineering to finance by obtaining my MBA. I did this while working full-time as an engineer.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I get the opportunity to give back to not only Villanova, but also younger students who may be unsure about future career paths like I was. I just went through the career change process, so I feel more in-tune with current market offerings to recent graduates.”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I was in a handful of students invited to dinner with Dr. Russell Ackoff, following his presentation to my class. We were a diverse group and discussed many topics. That evening was my first real-world exposure to the power of possibility and the value offered when strong minds come together with open hearts to share stories.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I have nurtured my love for reading and doing so, I remain in continuous pursuit of knowledge.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“The ability to help someone go further than he or she imagined."

“I was here when the basketball team made the Final Four.”

“I graduated from Villanova and bought my Condo.”

“I get to stay connected to Villanova."

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I loved SpO, Greek Week with Delta Gamma, Villanova Basketball games in the student section at the Pavilion, and Wells Fargo tailgating.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I became the fourth employee at a healthcare technology startup and helped grow our company to 20+ employees today. I also help patients recover from musculoskeletal injuries.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I can give students an opportunity I did not have when I was a sociology major and business minor. I did not know what I wanted to do after Villanova, other than move to NYC.

“I lived off campus at the “Track House” with my five best friends.”

“I have a wonderful family and friends in my life.”

“I get to watch my mentee grow and succeed!”

“I was accepted to attend Villanova!”

“I worked with Coach Andy Talley on my senior project. He gave me the drive to become a sportscaster.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I want to share my journey into television."

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I lived in Saint Mary’s my first two years and loved the long walk from my dorm to VSB was during the winter days after new fallen snow. It was so serene and uplifting, despite the bone-chilling wind and ice!”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I began my life at Villanova as a shy, reserved, and extremely ordinary student with little drive, direction, or curiosity. By the end of my senior year, I was a highly motivated leader with insight, drive, and an curious mind. I realized how influential and important the people at Villanova were.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I never thought of myself as a “start-up guy” while at Villanova. In retrospect, all of the signs were there. I never had a mentor around to help me identify my innate skills and channel them towards a career."

“I met so many folks from different industries and companies, including my own.”

“I convinced a traditional, 140-year-old company to re-invent themselves.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I can help emerging business leaders get a jump start on their goals, as well as learn new perspectives from them."

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I am not sure if I can zero in on one memory. There has been lots of exciting basketball, although we lost to Duke in the Elite 8 during my freshman year. I loved the countdown parties and made Dean’s List for the first time during my senior year.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I am a father to three well-adjusted young adults. Two are Villanova graduates!”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I want to give back in an environment that gave me so much."

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I received my summer internship offer from Ernst & Young. Villanova prepared me well and provided me with a great opportunity to begin my professional career. I was very excited for my future and grateful to all of the people who helped me obtain that role.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I am a good husband to my wife and good father to my three children. They are wonderful! I am also very proud of my professional career. I am fortunate to have a leadership position at a dynamic, growing company and job I love.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I love building relationships and helping people. It is very rewarding and fulfilling. It’s nice to give back because so many people have given so much to me. I also end up learning a lot from others… even when I am the mentor!”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“It is impossible to just pick one, but I enjoy being able to continue creating Villanova memories through my involvement as an alumni volunteer. It is such a joy to connect with other alumni and students.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I am proud of what I have been able to accomplish as a finance professional at J&J and mother of three young children. Some days, getting everyone out the door in one piece is an accomplishment! Though always a challenge, I feel like I have found my work/life balance.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I am excited to work with and learn from students in VSB. I have been very fortunate throughout my career to find strong mentors who have helped guide me in some of my most important career decisions.”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I can’t really point one out memory out, so I would say my best experience was being part of the Villanova community. I had fun making life-long friends, going to Villanova basketball games, and hanging out around campus with great friends.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I work with some of the greatest people I know. I have worked with teams to lay out oftentimes aggressive plans. My team exceeded what we thought was possible has been amazing.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I am very excited to help people accomplish their goals, then help them think of ways to exceed their expectations. I want to work with them to accomplish things beyond their visions.”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“My best memories were Habitat service trips. My first was October 1997 to Clarksdale, MS. My second was in October 1998 when I co-lead a trip to Chester, SC.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“My greatest accomplishment is graduating from college. It was daunting and exciting to leave home when I was 18 to go away to school for four years. The classes were challenging, and so was being away from home. I am proud of my good grades and degree.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I will have the opportunity to guide someone through a significant part of his or her life. I don’t claim to have all of the answers, but I can share what I’ve learned.”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I loved Final Four Weekend in 2016. A group of close Nova alumni spent the weekend in Houston going to the games. The championship was the highlight, of course, but the time spent together was fantastic.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“Professionally, my greatest accomplishment is finding a satisfying career. Though I’ve always held considerably “good” jobs, it took me a while to find one that offered intellectual challenge, societal impact, and financial reward.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I had some great mentors when I was younger who moved me forward. I have always enjoyed working with people to help them navigate the challenges in their careers. I am so proud to be a Villanovan!”

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I participated in the Campus Ministry SEARCH retreat, not only as a participant but also as a team leader. I felt the VERITAS, UNITAS, CARITAS spirit. It also was the first time I met my future wife.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I graduated from Villanova! I originally wanted to be an engineer, but later discovered that VSB was a better fit. I was the first in my family to graduate from college and turned my career into my field of study.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“I want to help a student develop his or her talents in accordance to his or her ambitions. I can hone in on strengths and weaknesses.

What was your best memory at Villanova?
“I remember Scottie Reynold’s layup with 5.5 seconds left to beat Pitt, which sent Villanova into the 2009 Final Four.”
What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment?
“I made lifelong friends during my time at Villanova, including my first friends in Katherine Hall, the brothers of the Sigma Chi Fraternity, and my lovely fiancée.”
What excites you most about being a mentor?
“Mentorship provides the opportunity for Villanovans to help Villanovans. It is a testament to the strong community that Villanova emphasized on the first day of orientation and is a message that continues to grow stronger.”
