Villanova Electrical Engineering Senior Wins IEEE Scholarship

Electrical Engineering senior Daniel McTeague has been awarded a $6,000 scholarship through the Merrill W. Buckley, Jr., IEEE Student-Branch Leadership Scholarship Program of the Philadelphia Section. The program recognizes IEEE student members who have made significant contributions to the development, operation, outreach and/or continuing vitality of their respective student branches. Daniel currently serves as president of the Villanova University’s IEEE student branch.

For the past two summers, Daniel has interned in systems engineering with Lockheed Martin where he’s supported Test, Development, and Information Assurance Teams in efforts to automate test and reporting procedures to verify software and security requirements for satellite and ground-based systems. He says, “I hope to use this experience along with my education to support new developments in the space, electronics, and information security industries.”
