VISITING STUDENTS

Welcome to Villanova! We are committed to providing you with the information necessary to ease the transient student experience. If you cannot find the information you need here, please contact an academic advisor. Please be advised that once you register for Villanova courses, you are required to know and adhere to all Villanova policies and procedures. Academic policies can be found in the Undergraduate Catalog.

What is a non-matriculated or transient student?

  • A student who is currently seeking a degree at another college or university who wish to take courses at Villanova and transfer them back to their home college.

  • Students who have earned a bachelor’s degree at Villanova or another university and need to satisfy pre-requisites for graduate study. Please note that it is the student’s responsibility to check with the intended graduate program to ensure that credits fulfill pre-requisite requirements.

  • Exemplary high school students who wish to earn college credit while in high school 

Diocesan Scholars Program

Diocesan Scholar students are granted a scholarship through selection by the Central Committee of the Diocesan Scholars Program through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Please contact your high school guidance counselor for further information and advisement.

Summer Visiting Students

If you have any questions prior to being admitted, please contact cps.info@villanova.edu. This email account is checked daily and your inquiry will be disseminated to the appropriate party.

Once admitted, students receive an emailed decision letter and must confirm acceptance by completing the CPS Admission Reply form.

An email detailing the information below and frequently asked questions will be emailed to you as well.

  • Upon acceptance, Summer Session students will receive an email with a checklist and next steps.
  • Applications for Summer undergraduate housing will open March 15th. Please visit the Residence Life website for more information. 
  • If you come across any registration issues once you are admitted, email or schedule an appointment with one of our advisors
  • It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that Villanova courses will transfer back to their home institution.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make sure they have the necessary pre-requisites to take Villanova courses.
  • Once you are registered in a course, you are academically and financially responsible. Student tuition bills (V-bill) are presented electronically and can be accessed through myNova. (Search "V-Bill Students") Parents can access their accounts here. Please direct all financial questions to the Bursar at (610-519-4258) or bursar@villanova.edu

The student is responsible for requesting that transcripts be sent to their home institution or wherever they desire. To obtain a credit course transcript, follow the instructions on the Registrar's website.
