The College of Professional Studies (CPS) educates intellectually curious and experienced adults balancing life commitments and ambitions. Rigorous academic programs, exceptional faculty, unmatched advising and support services, with flexible course formats make the experience one that is transformative.
DIVERSITY
With programs for high school students to senior citizens, degree and certificate programs to non-credit professional education, a dedication to veterans and military-connected students, corporate training, and many partnerships with associations and certifying bodies, CPS is an open door to education throughout one's life. This leads to a naturally diverse population of students bringing different backgrounds, viewpoints and life experiences, greatly enriching the CPS and Villanova community.
CAREER & PERSONAL GROWTH
CPS programs, whether it's to complete a bachelor's degree or to prep for an industry certification, are built to help develop the whole person, fulfill personal goals, and provide new skills that are demanded by the workforce. The Villanova Career Center allies with CPS to launch new career support services for CPS students and amplify others. Free webinars hosted by Villanova faculty enable any student to gain tips and advice on real workplace issues. For many of our non-credit professional courses and programs, digital badges are awarded to allow students to showcase the new skills they've learned on their resume or social media platforms.
COMMUNITY & CONNECTEDNESS
Upon enrollment, whether it's for a weekend course or a degree that takes years to complete, you have joined the expansive and engaged Villanova Wildcat community. Both on campus and online, Villanova values are infused throughout the coursework and in every interaction. Students who may never step foot on campus are able to build deep connections with CPS advisors and staff, faculty, and their classmates. Each year, CPS has a number of in-person special events/courses, including a leadership symposium, athletics leadership summit, and celebratory events that bring together students to recognize their accomplishments.
