Obtaining Debarment Statements from Vendors; NSF Audit
NSF and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (which disseminates our annual audit) want all those who initiate purchases using federal funds to receive from the vendor a statement verifying that it is not at the time of the procurement suspended or debarred from doing business with the government. A copy of this statement, signed and dated by an authorized vendor representative, should be provided to ORSP and made part of the auditable award file.
This should be made routine for any and all purchasing activities done using federal funding. Please contact ORSP if you have any questions about this new policy.
