Program
This 3 week, 3-credit program includes a study of culture and languages, politics, society, economics and history of Italy. A practical introduction to European and Italian business, as well as culture and society is also included. The program is taught in English by faculty from the SDA Bocconi, Bocconi University School of Management and focuses on macroeconomics, business management, finance and marketing in Italy and the Euro-zone.
Additional Academic Requirements
Open to students enrolled in the Villanova University MBA students only.
No language proficiency required. Must be taken for a letter grade, research paper required after return to the U.S.
Excursions
Middle weekend available for personal excursions. Venice, Florence, Rome, Zurich, Cinque Terre, among many others have been popular options.
Housing and Meals
Students will reside at the Hotel D'Este in Milan. Breakfast is included at the hotel. A limited number of lunches will be provided at the faculty club on campus at Bocconi University. If a student intends to bring a 'guest' (spouse, significant other, friend), the guest will be responsible for the additional per person per night charge by the hotel, as well as any additional personal expenses. This fee will be paid directly to the Hotel D'Este. Please note, guests are not permitted to participate in the Program's lectures. If space is available, guests are allowed to attend excursions at their own expense. They are more than welcome to join the group in the evenings and weekend. All program guests are required to sign a waiver. Please contact the Office of International Studies for this form.
