Camp Friendship

Camp Friendship is looking for Undergraduate and Graduate students majoring in Psychology, Education, Communication, and Other Mental Health Disciplines. The position entails organizing and co-leading a variety of group activities, assisting in the assessment of social skills difficulties and teaching pro-social behavior. These positions will offer both formal and informal didactic training as well as clinical and administrative supervision. Training begins in June 2009 and the camp program runs for six weeks, Monday – Friday from June 22, 2009 to July 30, 2009. Camp program runs from 9am to 3:30pm. We are currently offering unpaid internships, as well as a limited number of paid internships.

Camp Friendship provides social skills training to children who may be shy, anxious, or insecure; and to children who may have attention problems (ADD/ADHD), Aspergers or other behavioral and emotional difficulties. This program gives children the opportunity to enhance peer relationships, improve self-esteem, and increase assertiveness. Camp Friendship features creative expression through art and music, recreational activities, relaxation/yoga & stress management.

VQC Designs: Marketing and Web Development Interns

Full-service web development firm seeks driven, hard-working and outgoing interns for sales & marketing efforts in our Philadelphia offices. This is a paid position and you may apply your experience as college credits (if applicable). YOUR MISSION: The successful candidates will complete the following:

  • Learn how Web Services offered by VQC Designs enhance client experiences
  • Support Marketing Director with VQC marketing objectives
  • Apply communication skills to building referral networks
  • Create marketing/business solution proposals
  • Manage & coordinate VQC business events
  • Learn about internet marketing
  • Assist in the management of event staff and more
  • Set appointments for the Harrisburg (or Philadelphia) sales team

Required Skills:

  • 2 years toward a marketing degree or related field from a four-year college or university
  • One to two years of relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Outlook®, Excel®, Word®, PowerPoint®. Familiarity with Microsoft Publisher® & Adobe Photoshop® a plus but not required.

American Lung Association of PA: Events Intern

Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with:

  • Marketing programs and events to area businesses, hospitals, physicians, and community groups
  • Assist in the planning of upcoming programs and events including Living with Asthma Nights, the Asthma Walk Kickoff luncheon, the Asthma Walk, the Stair Climb
  • Logistical planning for various events
  • Soliciting In-Kind donations
  • Database management
  • Volunteer Recruitment.
  • Some general office work, including attending staff meetings, taking part in the decision making process, maintaining a timesheet/log of activities etc.

Minimum of 15 hours/week required.

ISP Corporate Intern Program

The ISP Sports Network is seeking interested candidates for a part-time, temporary internship position based at the Headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC. The intern will have the opportunity to learn various aspects of the multi-media rights industry, covering such areas as corporate sponsorship sales and sponsorship activation, marketing services and sales support, and event and property management.

The internship program is an opportunity for valuable real-world experience in the business of sports and therefore is an unpaid internship. College course credit will be given for accepted individuals who have worked this out directly with their school.

Length and Location: Internship participants are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the term selected.

Qualifications:
The internship program is open to any qualified candidate who is entering his/her junior or senior year in college, as well as graduate level students with at least a 3.0 GPA.

U.S. Olympic Internship Program

The United States Olympic Committee conducts an internship program for college students that follows the traditional college semesters -- fall, winter/spring and summer. The internship sites are at Colorado Springs, Colo., Lake Placid, N.Y., and Chula Vista, Calif. Positions are either with the USOC or its sport National Governing Bodies (i.e., Archery, Swimming, Volleyball, etc.).

Interns live at Olympic Training Centers and eat their meals at the Athletes' Dining Hall.  A small stipend is also provided.

The program offers internships in the areas of:  broadcasting, journalism, marketing, sports administration, culinary and strength & conditioning.

To be eligible for the internship program, students must have completed at least two years of college before the start of the internship and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited United States college or university.  Internships are competitive.

Summer Law Clerk
