Service Description
Provides Phone, Walk In, Onsite and Self Service Support to the University.


Included Services:

  • TechZone - Helpdesk – Providing Technology Support to the University
    • Provides Level 1 and Level 2 phone, email and remote support to clients (Students, Staff, Faculty, Parents, Alumni, Prospective Students and others)
    • Provide Level 1 phone, email and remote extended hours support.
    • Monitoring SDE call inflow and escalate Incidents to all UNIT groups as required.
    • First line of defense for monitoring and reporting WhiteBoard situations for the department. 
  • TechZone - Vasey
    • Central Walk Up center providing Level 1 & 2 IT Support to students, faculty and staff. Located in Vasey Hall Room 101.
    • Provide malware and virus remediation
    • Provide Disaster Recovery 
    • Offers Dell and Apple certified hardware technicians  in support of Student/Faculty VU issued machines 
    • Provide support through staffing (hired on a rolling basis) of undergraduate students (30)
  • TechZone - Law
    • Central Walk Up center providing Level 1 & 2 IT Support to students, faculty and staff. Located adjacent to the Law School Library in the Law School.
    • Provide malware and virus remediation.
  • TechZone - CEER
    • Central Walk Up center providing Level 1 & 2 IT Support  to students, faculty and staff. Located in 209 Ceer Hall.
    • Provide malware and virus remediation.
    • Provides Engineering Application Distribution.
  • SSHD – Self Service Help Desk
    • Our self-service help desk makes it easy for you to request services with UNIT. Just use your Villanova UserId and password to login @ http://sdess.villanova.edu
