The MyNova Portal Has a New Look

 

UNIT is to committed to providing our best technology solutions and services to all Villanova University students, faculty, staff, and prospective students. We are pleased to announce that this commitment has inspired a new look for the MyNova portal. The new MyNova is a more dynamic, personalized portal where you can search quickly and easily for information anytime, anywhere.

What You Can Expect from the New MyNova

 

In the new myNOVA, you can use the search bar located at the top to find anything you need. Once you type in what you are looking for, cards that serve as links on the main area of your screen related to your search appear. It’s that easy.

 

Other Important Features of the New MyNova Include:

 

 My Favorites – if you click on the heart in the bottom right corner of a link card, you can add the cards you use most to your personal 'Favorites' section. These cards will appear at the top each time you log in to the portal.

My Recently Used – MyNova will populate your most recently clicked cards in this area.

Areas of Interest – This area displays links that are the most popular, most used cards across the board in MyNova.

Is the only thing that's different about the new MyNova the look?

Yes. Right now, the same important campus information as before is all there, but in a new format that is much easier to search and is mobile-friendly. The new MyNova is a virtual one-stop shop and is accessible anytime, anywhere.

Do I still have to log in to the new MyNova portal?

No, you can access the portal without logging in. However, if you want your personalized screen view, or there are cards that contain certain kinds of protected information, it will prompt you to log in. However, once you are logged in, you don't have to enter your credentials again as you navigate the portal.

Will more information be added to the portal in the future?

Yes, in fact, as part of the redesign of the University’s website, information that is meant for the Villanova campus community (faculty, students, staff) will be moved so that it can be accessed through the new MyNova portal. This will be an ongoing process throughout 2018 as the website redesign continues to move forward. At this time, all of the same information as before is in the new MyNova.

You can call the UNIT helpdesk at x7777, stop into Vasey 101 for in person assistance, or visit the UNIT homepage and chat online with a helpdesk representative.
