Public Computing @ VU

Across campus in labs and classrooms, Villanova maintains 1200 PCs for public and classroom use. Public computer labs located in Mendel andTolentine Halls are open to all faculty, students and staff with a valid Villanova Wildcard. The public labs contain desktop computers that provide access to the Internet, University Information Systems, an application software library (including the Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access, FrontPage, PowerPoint) laser printers and scanners. Student computer consultants are available during specific times to assist users of the labs. In addition, specialized labs are available for multimedia development.

The college labs provide state of the art hardware and software for academic purposes. Other classrooms have stationary projection systems, wired and wireless data/network internet access, and cable TV access.

Mendal Hall

The Mendel computer lab is located on the ground level of Mendel Hall in Room G85. There are 26 computers available for the academic use of Villanova students with Wildcard access.

This lab uses Pentium 4 Dell PCs. Consultants are also available, at select times, for questions and support.

Tolentine Hall Lab

The Tolentine Lab is located in the basement level of Tolentine Hall in Rooms B2 and B4. There are seventy-one computers available for the academic use of Villanova students with Wildcard access in both rooms.

This lab uses Pentium 4 Dell PCs. Consultants are also available, at select times, for questions and support.
