UNIT's TechZone located in Vasey 101 strives to provide a friendly and resourceful environment for academic computing. A staff of 25 student consultants work cooperatively with full time professional staff for all Hardware, Software, and Technical Education problems students may have about their personal laptop or on-campus computing experiences.
The TechZone at Vasey Hall guarantees 72 hour turn around on all VU issued machines brought in for repair. Once a repair is completed, the end user will be communicated via email and SMS.
Laptop Loaner Program
The TechZone is committed to decreasing the amount of time you are without your VU issued laptop. If it is being repaired, a TechZone consultant will offer you a complementary loaner laptop for the duration of repair.
The TechZone is home to 25 + undergraduate Student Consultants who display exemplary knowledge of technical customer service. Current TechZone Student Consultants represent 3 of the 4 colleges and actively participate in career building opportunities with UNIT staff. These interactions take place in the work environment, one on one interactions and in a formalized mentorship program each semester.
