All students (except graduating seniors) must return their Villanova issued Dell E6420 laptop with service tag ending in Q1 at the end of the Spring 2013 semester. There is no option to keep the laptop; all laptops will be returned to the leasing company.
When it comes time to turn in your laptop, please review all information below regarding the return, backup procedures, repairs, and Early Ship.
Back up your data before returning your laptop. Once the laptops are returned they are immediately data wiped and boxed up to send back to the leasing company.
When returning the laptop, you must also return the AC Adapter (power cord). You will be charged for missing items. Inspect the laptop for cracks, scratches in the case, and/or visible scratches in the LCD. Note any other physical damage and report at return time.
If you have been experiencing problems with your laptop, you are encouraged to take it to the TechZONE to get it fixed by the technician. You are responsible for returning a laptop that is in full working condition. The laptops will go through a detailed diagnostic progress before boxing. If user damage is found, you will be charged for the repair on your tuition.
