VU PRIDE

VU Pride Members

VU PRIDE is a group of students, faculty, and staff working together to build upon the Augustinian concept of community. In particular, we seek to foster understanding of sexual orientation within a Catholic Judeo-Christian environment.

We believe that homophobia is best overcome through the collaboration of both gay and straight people working together. Our organization is open to any students willing to help us to achieve this goal.

VU PRIDE offers numerous programming opportunities to the campus community to inform, as well as change, attitudes regarding homosexuality. While always looking for innovative ideas from current and new members, some of the programming includes panel discussions, guest speakers, movies, and residence halls activities. Please consider joining to share your ideas!

VU PRIDE Goals

  • To educate the Villanova community regarding issues of sexual orientation
  • To foster a welcoming community for gay and lesbian students
  • To combat homophobic attitudes on campus
