The Villanova University Tech Crew (VUTC) is a completely student-run audio and technical organization that serves the university community by providing professional lighting and audio services.
As noted in the Student Media Experience Survey in Fall 2013, students involved with VUTC find their experience to be tremendously rewarding because:
They are able to serve as paid technicians working some of the major events on campus such as New Student Orientation, Special Olympics Fall Festival, and Hoops Mania.
Students gain hands on experience with professional audio and lighting equipment,
As members of the executive board, students learn how to operate an audio and lighting business by providing quotes for on campus events, participating in the event as a VUTC Event Manager, or handling the business operations such as reviewing rental orders and processing payroll.
By being a part of VUTX students feel very involved and included in the Villanova community.
The top skills acquired and/or reinforced from being a part of VUTC are: team work, time management, technical knowlege, and problem solving/critical thinking.
