Global Awareness

CORE REQUIREMENTS

Complete an study abroad program or attend an information session about study abroad
Attend two global-themed programs, lectures or events sponsored by the Institute for Global Interdisciplinary Studies or other academic department
Attend two programs, lectures or events designed to raise awareness about a global social justice issues (self-reflection)

ELECTIVES

Attend an information session about study abroad
Complete an international service experience
Participate in the Global Learning community
Participate in a research project or service experience related to immigration
Participate in a campaign for a candidate running for office
Participate a in voter registration drive
Attend local township commission meeting
Write an editorial to the student or local newspaper on a global or local issue

How do I enroll in SLICE?

Registration for the SLICE program is free, quick and easy! All students are automatically enrolled in SLICE through the software program VUGroups.

Why participate in SLICE?

Students can complete the SLICE program at their own pace. When the requirements are completed, students are eligible to be inducted into the Villanova Student Life Circle of Excellence. Members of this organization will enjoy special privileges throughout the remainder of their Villanova careers, including receptions with campus leaders, alumni engagement opportunities, invitations to special campus events and much more.
