Center for Access, Success and Achievement

Who We Are

The Center for Access, Success and Achievement (CASA) works to engage the greater Villanova community in programs, events, and processes of personal development involving issues of global and domestic differences. Workshops, interactive performances, retreats, and lectures are provided in locations across campus, in the local Mainline and Philadelphia communities. The Center is working to:

  • Build a community diverse in race, gender, ethnicity, culture.
  • Graduate students with a strong liberal arts education and with a strong sense of commitment to service.
  • Seek and encourage non-traditional students for degree programs .
  • Strengthen relationships with alumni, parents and friends.

Our Mission Statement

The Center for Access, Success and Achievement is dedicated to enriching, a culturally diverse, and academically excellent educational environment at Villanova University.   Successful retention and timely graduation of students is our central charge.  As such we seek to cultivate within the Villanova community a thoughtful respect for individual differences, and an understanding of our collective responsibility to work for justice and equity.

While students are at the core of our mission, we seek to create and support a vibrant inclusive community. The Center for Multicultural Affairs works to promote the academic success and holistic development of all students particularly those underrepresented at Villanova in terms of race, ethnicity, first generation and family income.

We accomplish our mission through leadership, advocacy, and collaboration. We work to encourage dialogue and adopt best practices to achieve authentic inclusion, organizational awareness and change.

Vision Statement

The Center for Access, Success and Achievement envisions Villanova University as a culturally diverse, academically distinctive learning community where all members live empathically, lead effectively and feel personally vested with the responsibility to make change.
