Special Olympics Week
This year's Special Olympics Week will take place on September 25-30. Stay tuned for more information about what's to come! The following events will take place across campus:
Disabilities Panel: Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00pm in the IK.
The Panel will feature members of the Villanova community, including students,
professors, and staff members as well as Special Olympics athletes and parents.
Panelists will share experiences, give personal insight into their particular disability, and
take questions from the audience. The event is ACS-Approved.
Saturday, September 24 – Villanova Men’s Soccer vs. Georgetown
Monday, September 26 - Volunteer Info Night, Donahue Dining Court at 7:30 pm- Chance for prospective volunteers to sign up for a specific position during Fall Festival
Tuesday, September 27 - Disabilities Panel, IK at 7:00 pm
Wednesday, September 28 - STRIDES 5K Run, 6:00 pm- Help show your support for Special Olympics by registering for this 5k walk/run
5:00- Registration for STRIDES, Quad
6:00- Race starts for STRIDES, Quad
Thursday, September 29 - Volunteer Info Night, Villanova Room at 7:30 pm - Chance for prospective volunteers to sign up for a specific position during Fall Festival
Friday, September 30 - Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign- Stop by the lower level of Connelly to take the pledge to end use of the "r-word." There will be free food, wristbands, and music.
