Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign 2016

Special Olympics Week

We hope you are getting as excited for Fall Festival as we are! Join us for Special Olympics week, taking place every Fall semester, to learn more about some great events/ways to get involved on campus.

Disabilities Panel

The Panel will feature members of the Villanova community, including students, professors, and staff members as well as Special Olympics athletes and parents.  Panelists will share experiences, give personal insight into their particular disability, and take questions from the audience.  Co-sponsored by LeVel.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver Day and St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service

EKS Day is Villanova Special Olympics Committee's way of celebrating Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the founder of Special Olympics.  Every fall on Day of Service, we invite Special Olympics athletes to campus to participate in an all-day soccer tournament.  We cheer them on from the sidelines as they play games, practice their skills, and enjoy spending time with their friends. Afterwards, we eat lunch and hangout with the athletes, last year we even had a dance off which was so much fun!

Volunteer Info Night

There are a multitude of great ways for volunteers, both on and off campus, to get involved with Special Olympics. Join us for information sessions to see how you can contribute to making Fall Fest the best it can be for the athletes.

We hope to see you at all of our events!
