We are aware that many young adults are searching for a meaningful service opportunity to build their experiences before entering the workforce or attending grad school. There are countless options out there for college students to choose from and many times deciding which path to take can become an overwhelming task. Several New York Area Catholic Volunteer Network Programs have come together to host a come-and-see weekend February 10th-12th for students who are discerning post-grad volunteer service. Our programs focus on personal growth, community, faith formation, social justice issues, and ways to make a difference in the world today. Throughout the weekend students will have opportunities to learn about our various programs, hear from current volunteers and alumni about their experiences, be involved in a local service project, and make connections with others who are searching for similar opportunities. Through guided reflections, spiritual direction, discernment speakers, and small group discussions we hope to aid students in their discernment process. This weekend will give young adults a taste of how impactful and enriching post-grad service can be!
