Dormitory
Dormitory space is reserved for undergraduate students at Villanova. However housing may not be guaranteed during semester breaks when the residence halls close. The Office of Residence Life at Villanova as well as Resident Assistants (RA's) living in the dormitories during the semesters that would be able to address any of your housing concerns. There is no Housing for Graduate students at Villanova.
Off Campus Housing

If you would like to or need to live off campus this means you will be renting an apartment or a room in a private residence in the local community. In most cases if you are renting, you will need to sign a lease, typically for a period of 1 year. Villanova's Office of Residence Life has an off campus housing advisor that can help you with your housing search.
There are several options regarding off-campus housing for graduate students. You may choose to view the Office of Residence Life website which list apartments and rooms for rent. You may choose to live with other graduate students and search for your own apartment. Accommodations vary in price from reasonable to expensive.
Gas and Electric
Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) can service both accounts of gas and electric if your apartment or house is outside Philadelphia city limits. You must apply in person if you have not had an account with them for the past 60 days. You will need to bring two forms of identification (visa, passport, school ID, alien registration card). In addition, you must bring your lease or deed as they will need to know the owner’s name, address and phone number. No deposit is required when you apply. However there is a $6.00 transfer fee which will appear on your first bill. Allow PECO at least two working days to establish service. They have applications in English and Spanish.
