Friday the 21st, 3:00 pm: Day of Silence: On a nationwide scale, this is the Day of Silence, an event of solidarity with those who have experienced the effects of anti LGBTQ harassment and bullying. Many choose to take a vow of silence on this day, but instead, to mark the occasion, we invite you to pick up and wear a t shirt that we will be handing out by the Oreo. You can also get yours from 202 Dougherty. This afternoon, participants will gather by the ellipse to commemorate the day at 3:00pm to Break The Silence (following the 175th anniversary Alma Mater Sing Along).
Friday the 21st through Wednesday the 26th, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm: Tabling at the Oreo: To make our presence known on campus while also having fun with the fam, we will have a table at the Oreo on Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Saturday the 22nd, 4:00 to 10:00 pm, Pavilion: Relay for Life: We are participating together in this important charity event to help fundraise for cancer research and treatment. Wednesday the 26th, 8:00 pm Mendel 101: Pajama Party: The votes are in, and the movie you all have selected is “But I’m A Cheerleader” starring Natasha Lyonne and RuPaul. So next Wednesday, come dressed in your comfiest clothes, bring a blanket and some popcorn, and be prepared for an evening of queer comedy with your VU Pride friends!
