When reading a magazine/trade article in Adobe Acrobat (.pdf), you should display the .pdf in article format. (View, Navigation Tabs, Articles.) If the article jumps to another page, you click the text at the bottom of the page, e.g., “Continued on page 7” and you are automatically forwarded to that page.

In Word, you can quickly move paragraphs or table rows up and down by placing your cursor in the area you wish to move. Then, on your keyboard, press Alt + Shift + the up or down arrow as many times as you need to in order to move the text to the right location.

In Word: To quickly draw a horizontal line from margin to margin, press the hyphen key on your keyboard three times and then press the Enter key.

In Outlook: To sort and arrange email messages by various categories, click the column headings and select your choice.

In Outlook: To Group Messages in Your Inbox by Timeframe (Today, Yesterday, Last Week, etc.) Click View, Arrange by..., Show in Groups. Your emails will be categorized by time frames which you can collapse or expand as needed.

To Retrieve Villanova University Email from a Remote Location (e.g., home.) Open your web browser. Type in the URL: http://webmail.villanova.edu and log in. You also can access email from myNOVA.

In Word: Format a word quickly without selecting it by placing the cursor in the word (not at ends) and then apply formatting (bold, underline, italics, fonts, color etc.)
