Seven more of our personnel attended Public Safety Telecommunicator 1 training through APCO (The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials).
APCO describes the benefit of the 54 hour course by stating, "The position of public safety telecommunicator involves more than answering the telephone, getting a location and sending response units to calls for service. Public safety communications has evolved into a specialized and professional field of endeavor requiring the application of knowledge, attributes and skills not commonly found in other occupations."
