Villanova University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267-284-5000). The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

The undergraduate programs of Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering (all of the undergraduate engineering programs at Villanova) are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the ABET Inc. , http://www.abet.org/.

The College of Nursing is approved by the State Board of Nursing of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of the undergraduate program, graduates are eligible to take the licensing examination (NCLEX) for professional registered nurses. This license is transferable within the United States nationally by state.

The baccalaureate degree in nursing and master's degree in nursing at Villanova University College of Nursing is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

  • Last re-accredited in 2010 for a 10-year period and is effective through 2020.
  • A CCNE accreditation site visit was held in February 2010, with a satisfactory site visit team report. The next on-site evaluation will occur in Spring 2020.

The Nurse Anesthetist program is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, a specialized accrediting body recognized by both the USDE and The Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

  • Last re-accredited in 2010 for a 10-year period and is effective through 2020.
  • A COA accreditation site visit was held in April 2010, with a satisfactory site visit team report. The next re-accreditation review will occur in October 2020.

The Continuing Education Program is accredited as a provider of Continuing Education in Nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), Commission on Accreditation.

The MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education (COPE) is a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Accredited Provider with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

The MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education (COPE) meets the official criteria for official criteria for official American College of Sports Medicine's (ACSM) Approved Provider status (Providership # 698849).

The Villanova School of Business (VSB) offers seven undergraduate degrees, including the fields of accounting, economics, and business administration; seven graduate programs; and an executive MBA program. All programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).

The undergraduate degree program in Accountancy is accredited separately by the AACSB:
