Cap and Gown Details for Graduate Students

Cap and Gown Distribution

Graduate students have two options for obtaining their caps and gowns. 

Graduate students are able to order their cap and gown online and have it shipped. Included in the order form are the details for parking passes for the weekend and tickets for the Friday University Ceremony.  Shipping fees apply.  Online orders must be placed by March 19.

Cap and Gowns are also available for all graduate candidates at the Graduation Fair on May 2, 2018 in the Villanova Room, Connelly Center.   The Fair will be held from 10am-7pm.  Graduate students wishing to pick up their Cap, Gown, parking passes and tickets to the Friday University Ceremony in person at the Graduation Fair, must fill out the Graduation Information Fair form here.  The form must be filled out by April 20.  


Villanova University uses a navy blue cap and gown for its Commencement activities. 


There is no fee for academic attire.  Graduate students have a small fee for shipping their academic attire. 


Graduate Students DO NOT need to be measured ahead of time.

Graduate students have the opportunity to have the items shipped to their home (shipping fee applies). Please use this link to place your order before March 19. Parking passes and tickets for the Friday University Ceremony will be inlcuded in the mailing.

Graduate students wishing to pick up their cap and gown in person at the Graduation Fair on May 2 need to fill out the Graduation Fair form here by April 20.  

Keep Your Cap and Gown

Graduates will keep all academic attire at the conclusion of the ceremonies.
