Strategic Planning FAQs

Will there be more University-wide Strategy Sessions?
There will be three sets of University-wide strategy sessions for faculty, staff, and students during the strategic planning process. The first set of sessions will occur in early October. These strategy sessions will include small group discussions. Each group will discuss and record their thoughts on a set of posed questions and then share them with other session attendees. This structure enables a large number of voices to be heard while providing an intimate, small group environment for conversation so that participants feel comfortable freely sharing their thoughts and opinions.

Will alumni be engaged in the strategic planning process?
Yes! A survey will be administered to alumni to gather their thoughts and perspectives about Villanova strengths and opportunties for growth.

What role does McKinsey play in Villanova's strategic planning process?
Villanova has partnered with McKinsey, a global consulting firm with extensive experience working with higher education institutions around the world to realize their full potential. McKinsey will assist Villanova in this process, but the plan itself as well as the ideas and opportunities therein will be entirely based on the ideas generated though our entire community. Thus, your input, ideas, and feedback are essential to the success of our plan.
