Each fall, the Villanova community begins the academic year with a celebration honoring St. Thomas of Villanova, the 16th-century Augustinian bishop of Valencia, Spain, and patron of the University. This tradition will continue in September 2014 with four days of special events.

Location: The Pavilion, Lobby area
Description: Items needed by local community agencies will be collected.

8:30 a.m. Day of Service Send Off
Location: The Pavilion
9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Day of Service
Location: More than 150 service sites throughout Greater Philadelphia
Description: Students, faculty, staff, alumni and families will partner with community agencies to perform service in neighborhoods throughout the region. Villanovans outside of Greater Philadelphia are encouraged to participate in the Day of Service by identifying opportunities closer to home.
