Can I take more than one course at a time?

FastForward Track
Designed for students in the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies program who wish to complete their degree in as little as three years.

• Enter with 60 credits and complete your Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree (majors in General Studies, Information Systems and Leadership Studies) part-time in three years
• Take one traditional 14-week class a semester
• Take two 7-week FastForward classes a semester
  
• Earn credit for three classes (nine credits) a semester while only managing two classes at a time
• Take two summer courses with many available online
• Complete your degree in three years using the flexible scheduling options to finish at your own pace.

How can I afford to go to Villanova?

There are many federal, state and privately funded grant and loan programs available for matriculated students registering for at least six credits per semester. Can I earn credit in other ways?

Villanova offers opportunities for people who have knowledge of certain subjects but lack the college credits to prove it.

• Through Credit by Examination, you can pass a departmental exam, satisfy the Villanova Part-Time Studies program's requirements and earn the credits for a particular course.
• Another way to earn credit for what you have learned in life is through the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).
• The Psychology department offers one credit seminars on various topics which meet on the weekends and can be applied toward graduation credits.
• If you are enrolled in a degree program in the College of Arts & Sciences, you can participate in an internship and earn credit for learning at your place of employment.

Can I transfer credits from another college or university?

If you have credits from any accredited college or university, they will be given serious consideration. Students from local community colleges regularly transfer into Villanova Part-Time Studies. You can transfer up to 60 credits toward your Villanova bachelor's degree.

Do I need a student ID card?

Hours of operation: Mon-Fri 8 A.M.-5 P.M.

Official University ID card for students, staff, and faculty is known as the Wildcard. The actual card is a photo ID with a magnetic strip on the back. Photos are taken at the Wildcard Office, phone 610-519-4179. To receive your Wildcard, bring a photo ID, such as a driver's license, and proof of your enrollment at Villanova (letter of acceptance from PTS, copy of class schedule) to the Wildcard office, located in Dougherty Hall. On the back of the card is a space for a validation sticker which is sent to you from the Bursar's Office after your bill is paid.

Remember your Wildcard is necessary for verification purposes, student discounts, checking out library books, entrance into the library on weeknights and on weekends, use of library databases, access to the Internet, entrance to some campus buildings and use of vending machines and photocopiers that do not accept cash.
