Alternate Sequence Curriculum for Adult & Traditional Transfer Students Overview

'

The Alternate Sequence Curriculum BSN Program for college graduates is a two year program arranged in the traditional semester format. The program begins in August of each year and ends in August two years later. The student takes nursing coursework over four semesters and one summer session.

The Alternate Sequence Curriculum BSN Program offers more time for outside activities:

  • Employment in a clinical setting
  • Participation in campus and community activities
  • Additional coursework

Students interested in this program option are encouraged to submit copies of their college transcripts well in advance of the March 1st application deadline to allow for a preliminary review and appropriate advisement. If beginning the process within one month of the application deadline, students may send application materials including transcripts without having had a preliminary review.

Upon successful completion of the Alternate Sequence Curriculum, the student will receive a BSN degree and will be qualified to take the National Nursing Certification Examination (NCLEX) for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

College graduates applying to the Alternate Sequence Curriculum should visit the second degree options application page.

This program is approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
