Dr. Mancuso is an internationally known advocate for accessible and affordable health care delivery systems. She has worked for over 20 years developing public-private partnerships to help improve the health of women and families. A former COO and acting CEO of Project HOPE, she oversees Jhpiego’s longstanding and extensive relations with international agencies; ministries of health and education; nursing, midwifery and medical schools; professional associations; local non-governmental organizations and the private sector. For nearly four decades, Jhpiego, now in 55 countries, has designed and implemented effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions to strengthen the delivery of health care services to vulnerable populations. Dr. Mancuso’s vision is rooted in her belief that if Jhpiego builds the capacity of countries to care for their people, then the health care strategies Jhpiego introduces will offer solutions for the long term.
