In order to share the riches of the Church's social teaching and to provide integration at every level, the Office for Mission & Ministry collaborates with the Villanova University School of Law to provide two annual conferences to explore and apply Catholic social teaching.
The Villanova University School of Law sponsors the Joseph T. McCullen Jr. Symposium on Catholic Social Thought and the Law each fall semester.
The Office for Mission & Ministry sponsors a more broadly based conference each spring semester on such topics as globalization, ecology, racism, and justice in the work place.
Each conference includes invited keynote speakers and presenters who respond to an annual call for papers. Many of the papers offered during these conferences are subsequently published in the Journal of Catholic Social Thought, founded at and published by Villanova University.
More information about these conferences can be found on the respective web sites of the Office for Mission & Ministry and the Villanova University School of Law.
