Fall 2013

Global Development Day

The first annual Global Development Day: A Roadmap to Your Career was held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Careers in international relief and development are attracting increased student interest. Its purpose was to help students maximize their chances of achieving such a career by getting the most up-to-date information on the education and experience they will need to be competitive and how to get their “foot in the door.”
Guest presenters representing NGOs, Global Health, Venture Philanthropy, Engineering, and Advocacy provided an overview of the changing nature of the field and the range of options available to students in business, engineering, health, and the liberal arts and sciences. In the Resource Area, students had access further information on curricular and extra-curricular opportunities, graduate programs and overseas volunteer, internship, and employment opportunities.  Event Program and Career Resource Directory
