CRS Job Position 9/29/2014

CRS is hiring for a Program Officer II (POII) to implement the CRS’ Helping Hands program. This program is designed to complement CRS’ food security/hunger awareness programs by offering Catholic parishes, schools and other groups the opportunity to pack nutritious food for distribution to selected partners overseas. These “meal packing” events engage the group in a hands-on volunteer experience that introduces thousands of individuals and families to CRS’s global mission. The POII will provide leadership in implementing Helping Hands as a full scale program of CRS’ US Operations division, including evaluating and executing recommendations to streamline processes and strengthen program offerings, integrating program marketing into CRS’ existing catalogue of resources, and coordinating with CRS’ Charitable Giving division. The POII will also support other US Operations hunger awareness programs as needed. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ year’s relevant experience and knowledge of the structures and social teachings of the Catholic Church.
