Head Coach: Logan Johnson
Entering his fourth year with Villanova Men's Rowing, Logan Johnson has rebuilt the program and placed the Wildcats back on the track to national promenance last seen in the early 2000s. Under his direction, the team has grown drastically in numbers and in strength. Continually looking to elevate the standards of the program, Johnson has coached crews that continually seek to build on past performances and experiences.
In the 2011 season, Johnson's Varsity 8 secured its first semifinal appearance in nearly a decade at the Dad Vail Regatta. In the fall of 2011, the same crew finished 19 of 39 teams at the Head of the Charles Regatta, securing the first automatic entry for the program.
Johnson comes with experience as both an athlete and coach from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. As an athlete, Logan coxed the Red Foxes to an ECAC National Championship and IRA bid in the Men's Freshmen 8 in 2004. As a coach, he served as a assistant coach at Marist during the 2006-2008 seasons. His responsibilities included coxswain development and assisting with the Varsity 8+ and 4+. The 4+ went on to earn a silver medal at the 2008 IRA Championship.
