Pediatric nurse practitioner Deborah Wimmer's volunteer health care work has taken her around the world - including to Russia, China, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, Siberia and the Philippines. She works with Operation Smile, a nonprofit organization that performs cleft lip and cleft palate surgery on children worldwide, and has also done health promotion work in Peru, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Honduras and the Shoshone Nation in Nevada.
