Keenly interested in the role public relations and media play in society, Flanagan is a great source for stories on personal and corporate image, media and pop culture, branding, and crisis communication. She leads professional development workshops for students seeking careers in communication, oversees Villanova's communication interns working at the Pontifical Council for Social Communications at the Vatican, and is advisor for the University's Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
