Heart disease is the leading cause of death for American men and women. Each year, a third of all deaths result from cardiovascular disease, including heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure. There are, however, many small changes that can be made on a daily basis to eliminate heart disease risk factors and improve overall heart health. Faculty experts in Villanova’s College of Nursing are available to discuss steps people can take for better heart health and how to manage heart disease risk factors.
