An increasingly complex global economy has generated a demand for versatile lawyers who are as comfortable in the boardroom as they are in the courtroom. And that’s exactly the type of lawyer we’re training at Villanova Law.
All Villanova students, regardless of their chosen field, are exposed to vital business principles as part of our reformed curriculum. And students who have their sights set on a career in business and law can examine both fields in-depth as part of Villanova’s Reza Taleghani JD/MBA Program. In just three years, you’ll graduate with a broad knowledge base that positions you to capitalize on expanding career opportunities in business and law.
As a student in this joint degree program, you’ll follow in the footsteps of successful alumni such as Reza Taleghani ’97. Taleghani is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Brightstar Corp., where he is responsible for overall leadership of the company’s global finance function, including financial planning, treasury, accounting, tax, financial reporting and internal audit functions. Taleghani joined Brightstar from J.P. Morgan, where he launched his career shortly after graduating from Villanova. During his seventeen-year tenure with the firm, he held leadership roles in several of the J.P. Morgan’s divisions with a career spanning investment banking, commercial banking and asset management.
Taleghani cites his Villanova Law education and the mentoring he received as central to his success. “Villanova's Joint JD/MBA Program not only provided me with the critical analytical tools necessary to work in banking, but, more importantly, the collaborative and team approach to learning closely mirrored how we tackle transactions in our firm and industry," he said.
