Recognizing that today’s highly competitive job market demands lawyers who possess both legal and business skills, Villanova Law redesigned its core curriculum to align it further with the demands of professional practice. Under the umbrella of the new Center for Law, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, week-long modules on business-related issues—including Financial Literacy for Lawyers and Business Aspects of Law—have been added to the core curriculum for law students. The Law School also expanded its externship program to include placements at for-profit organizations, including Wawa, GlaxoSmithKline and Stuart Weitzman.
