Dave Frankel ’06 was recently featured in The New York Times article, “Back on Campus to Experience Road Not Taken,” about successful professionals returning to school for advanced degrees outside of their fields.
An Emmy Award-winning former weatherman, news anchor and investigative reporter, Frankel turned his attention to law after enjoying a broadcast news career that spanned more than 25 years. After graduating cum laude from Villanova University School of Law (VLS), Frankel began his legal career representing broadcasters and other creative professionals as an attorney with Montgomery, McCracken, Walker & Rhoads, LLP. Three years later, he launched his own law firm, Frankel & Kershenbaum, to focus on children’s special needs education work, which includes legal counseling and representation for parents, federal and state litigation, due process hearings, discipline matters and a wide range of related legal needs.
Frankel has served as an adjunct professor of contract drafting at VLS and as a member of the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal Alumni Advisory Board.
