The National Law Journal (NLJ) has ranked Villanova University School of Law (VLS) as the No. 42 “go-to” law school in its 2013 rankings. This annual report identifies the top 50 law schools with the highest percentage of 2012 juris doctor (JD) graduates hired as first-year associates at the nation’s most prestigious law firms.
In 2012, 9.41 percent of VLS JD graduates accepted positions with NLJ 250 firms, the nation’s largest law firms identified in its survey. Additionally, NLJ ranked VLS No. 20 of law schools that saw the most alumni promoted to partner in NLJ 250 firms during 2012. NLJ also identified VLS as a “firm favorite” of megafirm Reed Smith.
