The online graduate programs in taxation at Villanova meld real-world education with professional responsibility in tax practice. Developed by Villanova University School of Law (VLS) in conjunction with the Villanova School of Business, the rigorous 24-credit-hour curriculum of the online LLM and MT programs examines taxation from multiple perspectives, allowing students to explore how the law and accounting affect the field’s ever-changing landscape. The programs deliver a sophisticated blend of accounting, legal and business expertise designed to develop a complete tax professional who can serve as an expert in taxation in a variety of professional environments. Courses explore the full spectrum of taxation practice, including federal, state and international taxation; individual and corporate income tax; taxation of trusts and estates; employee benefits; and federal transfer taxes and tax procedure.
The in-depth curriculum is delivered by educators with years of practical experience and distinguished service in the legal and accounting fields. In addition to providing a high level of coursework relevance, the faculty is committed to supporting students during and after completion of the program, including one-on-one mentoring.
Students in these programs can also gain valuable real-world experience, as well as advanced training in tax law and tax procedure, through a wide variety of hands-on learning opportunities.
