Health and Wellness are critical to a student's success during their law school years. Students are able to do their best in their classes when they feel good physically and emotionally and are taking care of themselves. Villanova University offers the highest quality of services in the areas of health and wellness to ensure that students receive the support that they need in order to succeed.
University Sponsored Plan:
The University offers a health insurance plan designed for students. All law students are sent information from the University regarding health insurance including a description of coverage, including costs, benefits, exclusions, reductions and limitations. This plan is designed specifically for Villanova University students and their families. More information can be found at: www.firststudent.com
All domestic undergraduate matriculated students, all international students, and all law school students must be covered by health insurance. As one of these students at Villanova University, you must either enroll in the school sponsored program or show proof of other comparable coverage and waive out of the Villanova University sponsored program. If you enroll in the plan, the annual charge will be on your fall semester bill. If you fail to waive the University sponsored plan by showing proof of comparable coverage, you will be enrolled automatically and billed for the University sponsored insurance plan at the beginning of the school year.

American Bar Association Student Health Insurance Plan:
The ABA law student division offers injury and sickness coverage for law students who are ABA members at https://www.uhcsr.com/ABA. Students who are interested in joining the ABA should contact the law school’s elected student ABA representative or www.americanbar.org.
The Director of Student Affairs and the Law School Chaplain are both trained counselors who are available for Law students who are experienceing personal problems. The University Counseling Center (in the Health Services Building) provides short-term confidential counseling for all Villanova students.
