  Today’s lawyers practice more than just law. They often serve their clients as business consultants, problem solvers and financial strategists. Explore how Villanova combines law and business to produce lawyers that corporations and firms desire.

 

Criminal Justice: Defense, Prosecution, and Reform

  Leading investigations; trying cases before judges and juries; advocating for victims' rights and prisoners' rights; and lobbying for changes in legislation and procedure.  Practicing criminal lawyers effect change and advocate for their clients in a variety of ways. Join Professor Michelle Dempsey and others as they discuss how Villanova Law students are impacting the criminal justice system.

Reception & PIFP Auction

  Immediately following Admitted Students Day will be a reception in the Law School Commons.

Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Villanova will host the 2018 Public Interest Fellowship Auction (PIFP). One of Villanova’s marquee community events, the Auction is a great opportunity for admits to meet and mingle with faculty and future classmates, current students and staff, administrators and alumni. This lively event brings together members of our community over complimentary drinks and light refreshments while supporting a great cause. Comprised of both silent and live auctions, the PIFP Auction features over 200 items donated by individuals and businesses throughout Greater Philadelphia and across the country. All proceeds from event support fellowships for current students who commit their summers to performing public service legal work.

Attendance is free and bidding is not required. The silent auction begins at 6 p.m. and the live auction at 8 p.m.
