Tomaso DeNoia is the Chairperson of the 2015-2016 Moot Court Board. A 2013 graduate of The College of New Jersey, Tommy competed at the John J. Gibbons Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition in Newark, NJ last year. He was also a Semi-finalist in the 55th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, and a second place finisher in the VLS/UCLA Moorad Sports Law Game Day Case Competition. Tommy was employed at the law firm of Carroll McNulty & Kull, LLC, over the summer working mainly on insurance coverage projects, and is employed by Villanova Law School during the school year as an Academic Peer Mentor. He is interested in civil litigation, and entrepreneurship.
Malia Freitas is the 2015-2016 Co-Director of External Competitions. Malia was a Quarter-finalist at the 55th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition and also competed at the John J. Gibbons Criminal Procedure Moot Court Competition at Seton Hall in the spring of 2015. Malia graduated cum laude from Boston College and worked for five years in e-commerce marketing prior to attending law school. Upon graduation, Malia will be joining a Philadelphia firm in their litigation practice.
Ryan Furlong is a 3L and an outside competition coordinator on this year's Board. As a 2L, Ryan finished as a semi-finalist in the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Invitational, where he had the opportunity to argue in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. As a member of Villanova's trial team, he also finished as a semi-finalist in the Capital City Mock Trial Competition. He spent his 2L summer as a certified legal intern in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, and he is interested in becoming a prosecutor or litigator.
Jim Armillay is the 2015-2016 Reimel Competition Co-Chair. Last year, Jim competed in the Charleston School of Law Moot Court Competition. Jim currently works for the General Counsel of Knoll, Inc., an international modern furniture design and manufacturing company. In the past, Jim also worked for the Pennsylvania Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection and worked on numerous cases involving consumer fraud by businesses. Jim is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut and holds a B.A in Political Science and Italian Studies. Jim is interested in corporate law.
Kevin Cope is the 2015-2016 Reimel Competition Co-Chair. In 2014, Kevin competed at the Eighteenth Annual Thurgood A. Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition. Kevin was a semi-finalist at the 55th Annual Honorable Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition. This past summer, Kevin worked as a Law Clerk for the law firm of Warren & McGraw. Kevin Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College with a B.M. in Music Education.
Christopher Brolley is the Judicial Liaison & Alumni Coordinator of the 2015-2016 Moot Court Board. In 2015, Chris competed at the Federal Bar Association Moot Court Competition in Washington, DC. He spent his 1L summer interning at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, and his 2L summer working as a Summer Associate for Elliott Greenleaf in Blue Bell, PA. Chris played football at Union College and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in 2010. Chris is interested in litigation and will be working at Elliott Greenleaf upon graduation.
Ryan McSherry is the Director of Summer Competition and Special Projects coordinator of the 2015-2016 Moot Court Board. In 2015, Ryan competed at the Tulane Mardi Gras Sports Law Competition in New Orleans, Louisiana where he was a semi-finalist. This past summer, Ryan was a Summer Associate at Ansa Assuncao, LLP. He is from Long Island, New York and graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. Ryan is interested in litigation, intellectual property, and entertainment law.
Cody Wade is the Board Administrator of the 2015-2016 Moot Court Board. Cody is currently working at the Chester County District Attorney’s office in a year-long externship where he represents the Commonwealth during preliminary hearings. In Spring 2015, Cody competed at the Eighteenth Annual Thurgood A. Marshall Memorial Moot Court Competition in Washington D.C.. Cody is originally from Mechanicsburg, PA and received dual degrees from Millersville University in Government and Political Affairs and Philosophy in 2013. Cody is interested in criminal and civil litigation.
