Ryan M. Bornstein

Biography

    Ryan M. Bornstein is a Partner at the law firm Harvey Ballard & Bornstein, LLC, and a member of the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars. As a partner, Mr. Bornstein specializes in estate and income tax planning.

    Mr. Bornstein earned his B.S. degree in accounting and a minor in management information systems from the University of Delaware, and his J.D. and LL.M. from Villanova University School of Law. While in Villanova University School of Law, he served as the Business Editor of the Villanova Sports & Entertainment Law Journal.

    Mr. Bornstein has written several published articles on timely legal topics. These include: Corporate Protection: The Availability and Use of Indemnification for Corporate Defendants and Computer Crimes and the International Response. In addition, Mr. Bornstein co-authored, ERISA Disclosure Requirements: Electronic Notices, with Dean Henry H. Perritt, Jr.

Important:  Curriculum Changes Effective Fall 2014

Tax Research and Writing (LTX-3228)  and Law Governing Tax Practice (LTX-5000)  have been consolidated to create a new course  LTX-5005 Professional Responsibility of Tax Practitioners. This new required course will be offered for the first time in Fall 2014.  LTX-3228 and LTX-5000 will no longer be offered.  For students matriculating prior to Fall 2014: If you have already taken either LTX-3228  or LTX-5000, you are not required to take this new course.  If you have previously taken Law Governing Tax Practice, you simply select another elective course in order to meet your course requirements.
