Dean Alexander nominated to join the AALS Executive Committee

The Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Nominating Committee for 2018 Officers and Members of the Executive Committee recently announced that Mark C. Alexander, Arthur J. Kania Dean of the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, is one of three individuals nominated to join the AALS Executive Committee. Read more


Trial team success at University of Florida Trial Advocacy Tournament

This month, four Villanova Law National Trial Team students competed and finished as quarterfinalists in the University of Florida National Trial Advocacy Tournament in Gainesville, Florida. Samuel Cooper ’19, Samantha Fitzpatrick ’19, Jordan Morgan ’19 and LaVelle King ’18 competed against teams from law schools across the country. Read more

Josephine Sandler Nelson: Her paper, "'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' Corporate Crime," won both the Holmes-Cardozo Award and Distinguished Proceeding Prize at the 2017 Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

Andrew Brandt: His article "The U.S. Supreme Court is Set to Decide on Sports Gambling. Is the NFL Ready for the Result?" appeared in Sports Illustrated on Nov. 28.

Brett Frischmann: Quoted in "As fears cloud net neutrality devbate, is common ground being overlooked?" which appeared in The Christian Science Monitor on Nov. 30.

Bhaveen R. Jani '09 is an associate in the Personal Injury department at Pellettieri Rabstein & Altman in Princeton, New Jersey. He concentrates his practice in the areas of motor vehicle personal injury, construction accidents, product defect cases and premises liability claims. Prior to joining the firm, he was an Associate at Blank Rome LLP in the Consumer Finance Litigation group. Jani is also a very active member of the bar and currently serves as the President-Elect of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey (SABA-NJ) and will serve as the association's President next year. SABA-NJ is a specialty bar organization whose membership includes approximately 150 South Asian New Jersey attorneys, judges and law students throughout New Jersey.
