Prospective and Incoming Students

Welcome, prospective and incoming students! On this page, you'll find Honors admission and scholarship information. Please browse our website to learn more about Honors, such as our curriculum and freshman cohort program, opportunities for leadership and international study, and resources available to our students.

Admission to the Program:

Students interested in Honors should apply to Villanova by November 1 to be considered for the Program. No formal application is required. Students accepted to Villanova University are invited to the Honors Program within a week of their acceptance to the University.

Incoming students who have not been invited to the Honors Program may apply by completing the Incoming Student Application (posted here only if spaces are still available in the Program) and sending it via e-mail to honorsprogram@villanova.edu before June 1.  These students will be notified of admission into the Program by July 1.

Typically, incoming Honors students have an SAT score of 1420 or above, or ACT score of 32 or above, and 3.9 unweighted high school GPA.  Given the competitive applicant pool and selectivity of the program, sometimes we cannot accommodate all exceptional students.

Admission letters from the Honors Program for students who applied by the Regular Decision deadline will be mailed during the week of March 24. Early Action admitted students will also be considered.

Scholarship Opportunities:

For prospective students interested in scholarships, please consult University Admission's scholarship information. Many students accepted to the Honors Program are also selected as Villanova Scholars. The deadline to be considered for this scholarship is November 1.

Students may also be interested in the Presidential Scholarship, a scholarship that includes full-tuition, room and board, meal plan, and textbook costs. Students must be nominated for this scholarship by their high school or recognized community organization. The nomination deadline is December 1.

More detailed information on these, and other scholarship opportunities, can be found through CURF or on the University Admission page.
