I graduated from Villanova in 2008 with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Peace and Justice Studies. I began working in July 2008 at the Center for International Private Enterprise, a spin-off of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that works with business associations and think tanks in other countries to strengthen their ability to bring the voice of local businesses into economic policymaking. While there, I worked on a number of online initiatives, including DevelopmentInstitute.org, the CIPE Development Blog, and CIPE social media. I currently do communications for a newer nonprofit in international development, and also write blog posts at FastCoExist.com and Nextbillion.net.

As Director of Communications, Kristy’s responsibilities are to drive the firm’s branding, content-driven marketing, public relations and social media strategies, as well as to advise the firm’s portfolio companies on communications.
Before joining LLR, Kristy served as the Senior Public Relations Specialist for NextGen Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: QSII), where she directed public relations and social media. She previously served as an Associate Vice President at Gregory FCA, the largest independent public relations agency in Greater Philadelphia, managing accounts in technology, life sciences and private equity.
Kristy received B.A. degrees in Communication and Honors from Villanova University, graduating as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Temple University.

After graduating from Villanova in 2000, Joyce received a M.A. in Communication from the University of Pennsylvania and then worked as a senior research assistant and project coordinator for the Annenberg Public Policy Center at the University of Pennsylvania. In that role, she discovered her love of teaching others how to research so she went to the University of Maryland to obtain a Master of Library Science degree in 2009. Since then she has served as the Communications and Development Librarian at Towson University and in this role she teaches students about the research process, manages publicity for her library, and writes grants.

Tara graduated from Villanova in 2010 with degrees in English and Honors. After working in the publishing industry in New York City for two years, she made the switch to financial services and now handles internal communications for Standard & Poor's. Tara coordinates production of the company's monthly newsletter, which is sent to all 3000+ employees. She also writes and produces video segments for S&P's internal video channels. Additionally, Tara is a part-time master's student in Irish- and Irish-American Studies at NYU. In her (increasingly minimal) spare time, Tara bakes way too many cookies and has her own blog.

A longtime lover of everything “Villanova,” Emily is embarking on her sixth year with the University, most recently earning her Master of Arts in Theatre in May 2012. While she was a student in the Theatre Department, Emily worked as Media & Events Coordinator for Villanova Theatre, working diligently to grow the theatre’s social media presence, creating and distributing bi-weekly newsletters and editing press and advertising materials, among other responsibilities. Prior to her graduate coursework, Emily earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, a minor in business and a concentration in Honors from Villanova in 2010. She currently holds the position of Media Relations Coordinator in Villanova’s Office of University Communication.
