The Facilities Management Office is currently developing a Green Products list for consideration and use on all renovation and new construction projects on campus. The list is intended to support and expand upon the University’s Sustainability, Green Purchasing, and Energy Star policies.
This list, as an example, will include products and materials:
- produced locally
- containing recycled content
- produced from FSC certified wood manufactures
- carry e-star or better energy efficiency ratings
- carry the “cradle to cradle” label (where applicable)
This list is under development and will be completed during the 2008-2009 academic year.
